What We're All About

Pura Vida CFitness is a functional fitness training facility that offers small group classes and personal training. Our focus is to provide a broad and inclusive program that can be scaled to any level of athlete, any age, and any personal fitness goal. We aim to create a fun and safe training environment where bonds are made through hard work and a choice to live an active lifestyle. We invite you to share our passion for fitness and join the Pura Vida family! Our gym is built on 3 pillars that are believed to not only help you inside the gym but also in your personal lives.

#1 Consistency

1% Better every single day. Look, we all started somewhere in the gym. You may only be able to do 10 burpees in a minute, but think what would happen if you increased that by 1 rep every month; that would be around 22 reps in a minute with a 12 rep increase in just 1 year. This is just a simple example but it can be implemented however you desire rather it is in the gym or outside of the gym. You show up for yourself and the people you care about, put in the work every single day and truly become 1% better, this will lead to exponential growth.

#2 Community

If you want to go fast go alone, but if you want to go far do it together. I remember the first time I walked into Pura Vida and did a workout, like many of you, felt the addiction of having a group of people around you suffering together. To be honest, without the community I don't think a CrossFit gym functions. This community will be able to give you that extra edge and motivation to go just a little bit further.

#3 Goals

Goals should be something that scares you to achieve. You have probably felt the turn in your stomach when a crazy goal pops up in your mind. Some of you like myself have felt that and tucked that goal away in the back of our mind, simply because we are too scared to chase it. Those goals we try to avoid, likely need to be written down and pursued. Make a plan to tackle these unreachable goals; make daily goals, monthly goals, yearly goals, I do not care if it takes 5 years to achieve your overall goal. This is not to discourage you to chase goals, rather it is to help find the confidence to see what you are capable of. If you fail to reach a goal, good, write down what went wrong and how you can fix it to achieve the next one.
